It’s 2012, after a short hiatus the band returned to the live scene with new drummer Dylan Van Meurs, Remco’s first fretless work and Floor’s heartfelt vocals and guitar. These songs were recorded and mixed in the spring of 2012 by Remco at studio Cloud #11 in Eindhoven. Single takes without click tracks, guides or studio tricks, capturing their live sound at the time. Gijs Heijnen joined the band shortly after on lead guitar, but here it’s all Floor on guitar. For the bass enthusiasts, this recording contains rare flatwound recordings with Remco’s fretless jazz bass, just before the fingerboard got coated to permanently make way for roundwounds. More swing and groove, more bass, pop and hooks, life was changing rapidly, so was the band's energy. These songs sound surprisingly fresh and upbeat considering the turbulence the guys went through, a rocky time capsule without compromise. So buckle up, slip into the groove, and enjoy the ride!
